For more than 70 years, Gee and Bee has supplied Western Maine with quality athletic equipment and apparel. Gee and Bee was opened in 1947 by Jim Bouchles as a “complete team center” and in 1979 was purchased by Goldsmith’s Sporting Goods. It was on May 29, 1996 that Sandy and Kris Heldman bought the store, returned the former name and instituted the motto, “the way sports used to be”. Gee and Bee was originally located on Court street in Auburn and eventually moved to the Center Street Plaza.  With Auburns retail growth booming on Mount Auburn Ave the Heldman’s purchased the former Andy Valley Gymnastic building where Gee and Bee now resides.

With a retail space of over 7,000 square feet, the store is a complete team center that specializes in a full line of retail merchandise as well as team equipment. Gee and Bee offers custom uniforms complete with silk screening and embroidery.
